In 2006 we traveled to Jasper and Banff for two amazing weeks. I was relatively new to digital photography, and I just absolutely in love with the beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
That trip really was the beginning of my passion for photography.
What a great story, Bob. And I have to attribute my passion for photography to one inspired by the Canadian Rockies, too, so I can certainly relate! The beauty is captivating.
So many great vistas. The trip from Calgary to Jasper took forever, and then we found out our BnB was in East Jasper, another 30 minutes away. We had snow in early September the day before we left. I hiked up to Grassi Lakes (by myself) making lots of noise in view of the bear warning signs at the trailhead. I hope to go back one day now that my skills are better. If you have any interest, youβll find me on SmugMug (including a Canadian Rockies gallery). https://bob-warner.smugmug.com
I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's usually a long trip up the Icefields Parkway with all the possible stops! I'll be sure to check out your gallery. If you ever do make your way back, I have a few Rockies eBook that might be helpful. https://shoppaulzizkaphoto.com/collections/ebooks
Being raised in Southern Alberta, Waterton Lakes National Park is one of my favourite parks. Thankfully we have numerous National Parks in Canada to enjoy, however I love my "secret places" outside of the parks as well. Beautiful shots Paul, we truly have a beautiful country.
Although under the current administration in the States, it probably wouldn't be a good thing π. I understand that China has cameras too but used for different reasons.
Absolutely breathtaking photography of the most beautiful homeland in the world. Thank you for showing me parts of this amazing country I may never see π₯°π¨π¦β€οΈ.
