Today’s short video celebrates the importance of investigating a subject when you're out there in the field, particularly from a compositional standpoint.

Photographers in general, including myself, are often a bit too quick at abandoning an idea before they've thoroughly explored it. This could have been one such scene, but I challenged myself to stick with it and work it from numerous angles.

You’ll see the scene itself is quite simple, but I’m excited for you to see the results of this assignment I gave myself in the field. In the video, I also explain my general process in working through various compositions. This gives me more options once I’m back at the desk and helps me make the most of my field time.
