Over twenty years as an avid aurora chaser, I’ve seen a lot of speculation around the question: which is the best location in the world to view and photograph the lights? I’ve also noticed that many places claim to be the “Aurora Capital of the World.” So, after years of thinking I wanted to dive into some research on this topic, I've finally done it. I’ve ascertained what I believe is the best location to view the aurora borealis — and when.
