Hi everyone!
I am very excited about this first critique session here on Fuelled by Creativity! Here are the three images that I selected for this session (and please note - anything else that was submitted will be added to the batch for future consideration!)
Here’s an excerpt from the video to introduce you a bit to my process:
First of all, I want to commend all of those who submitted images. We're all very close to our work and it does take a certain amount of courage to put yourself out there.
But I think it's an important step to be able to take as a photographer. I think it's a great way to determine whether or not your story is coming across clearly. It's also just a plain great way to grow as a photographer.
How I usually go about critiquing images is I comment on what I think was done particularly well. I've got a whole lot to say about that. I'll comment on what I felt was really strong and I'll also point out some things that I would consider doing a little bit differently. Sometimes I might hop into Camera Raw to make a couple of quick adjustments in terms of the editing. Of course, I'm not aware of the time or space restrictions you were working within when you created the images, so it's easy for me to recommend this and that. But for that reason take everything I say with a grain of salt.
Even if it's not your image that's being discussed today I invite you to pay attention because there's always a lot to be gained. It doesn't matter if it's not your shot that we're looking at. I think there's so much information that's transferable and it's always relevant in one way or another.
Let’s dive in!
